For the month of June, we decided to do something a little different. If you’ve received your Lemonade Box already, you will have noticed that you did not receive a Monthly Mission. If you haven’t received your Lemonade Box yet, we’re sure you’ll be ecstatic to learn that when you do, you will not be receiving your Monthly Mission. Ecstatic in a sarcastic way, obviously - we know you love your missions!
Fear not. Your missions have not been forgotten. Based on feedback and self-reflections regarding our carbon footprint as a business, we decided that we’d like to reduce the amount of paper we include in our box. Of course, the paper we do include, is always recycled paper, but, we simply wanted to test the waters.
If the general consensus is that you’d rather your missions were on paper and in your box, this is what we’ll do. But, if you’re happy for us to minimise waste and send them via email, this is our preference. We will be sending out a mini questionnaire at some point in the middle of June, so keep an eye on your emails to have your say. Alternatively, feel free to drop us a message on any of our socials - detailed at the end of this post.

You Can Make a Difference: A Short Post Given to Subscribers and Mailing List
If we had a penny for every time we heard someone say that their vote, or their choices, or their conversations, or their time, didn’t matter, we’d be the richest people on this planet.
Writer, Eduardo Galeano, once said,
“many small people, in small places, doing small things, can change the world.”
This is one of our favourite quotes. It reminds us that we all have a purpose and we all have a duty, as a community and as people of the earth, to do good and to be kind to one another.
We feel extremely privileged to have a platform, such as ours. As a small business, our message and our ethos may not reach millions of people. But, it has the potential to make a difference. Even if, only small.
This is ok. Small differences are ok. Rome was not built in a day. Changing the world takes time, effort, perseverance and unity. This will not happen overnight. Nevertheless, if we all make the conscious decision to educate ourselves, educate those around us, show compassion, empathy and humanity, we will get there.
Everything about you, matters. Where you put your time and energy, matters. Please don’t ever think, for a second, that you don’t have the ability to change the world. You must persevere.
This month, we’re grateful that we are able to give you a mission that we hope, will last you a lifetime. We hope it reminds you, that you can do anything you want to do. We hope it reminds you to look at those around you and feel inspired. Look at your friends, your families, the activists, the celebrities. Look at all those who are doing good, spreading kindness, educating themselves and others and in turn, making a difference to the world and how we, as a society, view things. Please allow this to motivate you.
There are so many things you can do, to help change the world. As mentioned in your mission, you can: donate, sign petitions, share stories, talk about your experiences with race, start conversations. There are so many things.

Your time and energy matters. Please use it wisely.
